On the Land Cruiser 100

< Establishing Itself As a Prestige 4WD >

As new generations of the Land Cruiser have been released, from the 55, 60, 80, to the 100, each time our customers greet it with surprise and amazement as to how far the Land Cruiser has come. With the development of the Land Cruiser 100 we created a prestige 4WD with significantly improved onroad performance, yet at no sacrifice to its traditional offroad performance. It was equipped with the newly developed vehicle height adjustment + Skyhook TEMS mechanism, had more luxury inside and out, came with a strong V8 power unit, and a bold new independent suspension in the front.
As a result, Japan established a position in world markets supplying a prestige 4WD model, firmly so, and from our customers around the world the Land Cruiser has enjoyed a reputation as ''a car with the longest history and at the leading edge of technology.'' In addition to the newly developed front-end independent suspension, responding to strong demand from sales outlets in Australia and Africa we also developed a rigid axle for the front; giving our customers what they want and where they want it.
The Land Cruiser 100 now carries on into the 21st century the tradition of the Land Cruiser strength, durability, reliability, and aims to remain at the forefront of 4WD as a car that you want to drive forever.
